I'm an artist.  A thinker.  A reader.   I love people, listening and laughing, learning, but more so, understanding, Charles Dickens and Miranda July, Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake and Lorraine Hunt Lieberson and Leyontine Price and Beverly Sills and Ella Fitzgerald and young Barbra Streisand and Fritz Wunderlich.  Did I say laughing?  Laughing.  And sometimes getting serious.  East of Eden.  Virginia Woolf.  Stephen Sondheim.  Harold Pinter.  Jackson Pollock.  I run, I bikram yoga - or I try - I play the piano.  I love to sing.  I love to talk.  I love poetry.  I'm interested in Buddhism, but I'm not really a Buddhist.  I don't want to BE anything other than what I am.  I write.  I believe in faith, in the brandishing of fears, in the living of life.  In stuggle.  In joy.  In what it takes to "know better."  I want to do important things.  I want to keep from always being "too busy."   I want to get to know people.
