I am, among other things, an IT professional, a gamer, a singer (a tenor), an historian, a conlanger & conworlder (ask. it's just easier), kind of a nerd (kind of?), and a cook. I love history (preferably medieval or ancient Greek), Monarchic History (especially British), linguistics, computers (although I'm not a "tech geek" by any stretch of the term), genealogy, gaming (tabletop or online), and more.

I can be very easily described by using the word "shy". Of course, my friends would phrase that as "chicken shit shy" and, if I'm honest, they're pretty right. I'm TERRIBLE at making the first move. So any help you can provide there would be lovely.

I like to go out with my friends, to see a movie, or have dinner. I'm not the whole bars/clubs things: for one, I don't drink almost at all, and for another thing, I like to be able to actually hear the people I'm with (which you can rarely do in a club), but I also like to just hang out at home with my friends. Watch tv or play board games or something. I don't need a lot of complicated planning and hundreds of dollars worth of electronics to have fun. Sometimes, simple is good. I like to go to amusement parks with friends and scream for hours on roller coasters. I like to go and people watch along the boardwalk. Or go and explore the museums, zoos and historical attractions. None of these things cost a fortune, and can be a great way to spend time with folks.

For you, just be who you are, not who you think I want you to be (and accept the same from me), and we'll get along just fine.
